Italian Design Furniture actively strives to operate in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner. The wood used is either from sustainably managed plantations in Kenya or the DRC; it is dried to 10 percent moisture content before it is made into furniture.  The factory possesses a huge timber drying kiln. The hardware (hinges, locks, drawer runners, etc.) are imported from italy or sourced from Hafele, Nargold, Germany. It is a mechanized factory with over 30 machine tools of all sorts.  It has two 180 Kva generators that can operate all the machines in the case of a power outage.  Consequently, it can deal with large orders quickly and efficiently.   Italian Design Furniture ncontributes seedlings towards sustaining Cedar tree plantations in Kenya.
